Monte Flor, Guatemala
£14.00
Monte Flor — meaning “mountain of flowers” — takes its name from the dramatic volcanic slopes between Tajumulco and Tacana where Nueva Granada is located. Each spring, jasmine-scented blossoms blanket the farm before cherries mature slowly beneath a diverse canopy of shade trees.
Owned by Dieter Nottebohm, the 675-hectare estate is shaped by a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, with protected forest corridors, on-site milling, and water-efficient processing.
The resulting coffee is smooth, balanced, and easy-drinking, with light sweetness and subtle fruit notes, performing well across filter, espresso, and milk-based drinks.
